Once again, this year, La Torre Outlet Zaragoza shows its commitment with Aragón’s talent by establishing itself as the main sponsor for the Aragón Fashion Wek (AFW), the most important fashion event in the region, that will be held in June and where it will be held the XVII Young Designers Contest.

More concretely, this contest will be disputed on June 17th at La Torre Outlet’s facilities for second time in a row. This way, La Torre Outlet Zaragoza and the organizer FITCA (Federation of Textile Industries and Clothing Manufacturing) support the design and creativity of young talents of fashion by giving them the chance to show their creations in an important environment as it is AFW.

“It is a great pleasure to host, one more year, events of such importance in the Community of Aragón like the Aragón Fashion Week or the Young Designers Contest at La Torre Outlet Zaragoza. We know that it will, for sure, be a complete success once again and will show us the collections and talent of great artists of the reginal scene”, highlights Claudio Poltera, the center manager.

In this edition, the financing of the contest counts with the collaboration of the Department of Industry, Competitiveness and Business Development of the Government of Aragón, in addition to the main sponsorship of La Torre Outlet Zaragoza.


Aragón Young Designers Contest

This contest is addressed to both students and emerging designers aged no more than 35 years, born or registered in Aragón or that have completed their design studies at any formation center in said Community.

The theme of the contest is free and those interested who meet the conditions may choose to present a collection for woman, man or children. As an essential requirement, designs must be unpublished, that is, they may not have been submitted to any other contest of a similar nature or have had previous commercial use. The contestants, designers and/or design students must also meet another other kind of criteria, such as not having been winners in previous editions.

The jury of the contest will select six finalists from among all the contestants based on the previously submitted proposals: a collection made up of six designs made in artistic drawing, accompanied by the corresponding dossier of technical sheets, samples of the materials to be used and a memory where the foundation and inspiration of the collection submitted to the competition is developed.

These six finalists will have an individual aid of 300 euros to make the collection that will be paraded on the catwalk of La Torre Outlet Zaragoza, where the jury made up from industry and design personalities will value creativity, innovation and viability as a product on the market. The winner will receive, among other prizes, 3.000 euros and the possibility of parading in the next edition of AFW.
